Head of History
Yasmin studied History at Brunel University before embarking on a PGCE at UCL Institute of Education. She has worked in schools in West and North London and has been nominated for Haringey’s Teacher of the Year award before joining The Fulham Boys School. Yasmin’s favourite period of History is the rise of Stalinist Russia and believes it is important for a variety of histories to be told in order for students to not only understand the history of others as well as their own.
“I am looking forward to working in an ambitious school and leading a flourishing department to foster students’ love for history, to help students question the events of the past and understand the world today because ‘History does not repeat itself – it rhymes'”
