Deputy Head Teacher (Quality of Education)
Sam has a History and Politics degree from the University of Leeds, an MA in Educational Leadership from St Mary’s University, Twickenham and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) from UCL Institute of Education.
Sam is passionate about teaching and believes that all young people can achieve excellence. She has a ‘no excuses’ attitude to teaching and learning and is committed to creating outstanding learning experiences driven by moral purpose, academic excellence and student voice. High expectations for all and firm discipline are at the heart of what makes brilliant education possible. Sam has worked in 3 large secondary schools in London and is committed to ensuring the most disadvantaged in society have access to the best possible education.
Sam is also committed to global education and has worked with ActionAid and WomenEd over recent years to build schools in both Mozambique and Rwanda. “Education is the best way to stop the cycle of poverty and make a positive difference. I have been privileged to work with powerful female educators on a number of brilliant projects across Africa”.
