Teacher Of History
Roger graduated in 1997 from the University of Oxford with a masters degree in Modern History and subsequently completed a law conversion course at the College of Law in London. Roger spent twenty years working as a solicitor specialising in estate planning and legal advice for vulnerable adults primarily with large firms in central and south west London.
Roger, however, has always believed that careers should be full of variety and, supported by the Now Teach charity helping career changers, has joined the teaching profession following training at St Mary’s University, Twickenham and placements at Grey Court School in Richmond and Hollyfield School in Surbiton.
Roger believes that history is a fascinating subject, the study of which will help boys understand the world around them and equip them with literacy and analytical skills for their future. At a time of so much political change, he is also excited to be teaching A Level Politics.
“I am impressed by the commitment of Fulham Boys School to high standards, encouragement of inquisitive minds, and to being more than a school by developing the life skills and team spirit boys need to thrive.”
