“The challenge of setting up a sports department from nothing was something that I couldn’t resist. To be able to drive enthusiasm for physical fitness, passion for sporting competition and develop a love of physical activity in an inner-city London school is a daily challenge, but it is a challenge that I love. Winning trophies, introducing our comprehensive intake to sports like rowing and fencing, establishing The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, running an strength and conditioning programme and introducing the elite sportsmen to a psychological training programme are the things I am most proud of, to date.”
