Co-opted Governor, Chairs the Sport and Enterprise Committee
Ian joined the Governor team in January 2021. Prior to a successful career working in finance in The City, Ian was one of the youngest ever directors of an AIM-listed business. In 2015, he co-founded adventure clothing and experience business, Shackleton.
Ian has a great passion for endurance and adventure challenges and has run across deserts & mountain ranges rowed across the Atlantic ocean and supported two world record-breaking polar expeditions.
Ian has broad business experience, encompassing all aspects of founding and growing businesses. Through his personal life, sports and career, Ian has demonstrated what it takes to overcome challenges and perform in high-pressure and performance-driven environments.
Ian is dedicated to contributing to the ongoing success of FBS and helping FBS achieve its goal of becoming one of the country’s top schools.
Ian lives in Putney and has three children, his eldest started at FBS in September 2020.
