Year 7 Visit to Kidzania
On 17th of May, 19 boys and three members of staff went on a trip to Kidzania in Westfield Shepherd’s Bush. Kidzania is a 75,000 sq.ft. child-size City. The boys had the opportunity to try out more than 60 real life role-play activities, including in the bank, in the doctor’s surgery or fighting crime on the streets as a police officer. Developing enterprise skills is at heart of everything we do at The Fulham Boys School and each role-play experience helped to teach the boys essential life skills including financial literacy, team work and independence. The best bit for the boys was that they got paid for all their hard work…in Kidzos of course, the currency of Kidzania.
Shaeden said, “The best bit of the day for me was making the burgers at Gourmet Burger Kitchen. We got the chance to become burger experts and experience what it’s like working for real. For 20 Kidzos we got to eat the burgers at the end too!”
Shea said, “I thought it was really good because it was like being an adult in real life. My favourite bit was trying all the different jobs. I really liked working at Cadbury’s because it was really fun learning how to make chocolate.”
