A Site for Sore Eyes
I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you a happy Easter and update you on the progress made since my last blog.
I visited our temporary site at Gibbs Green yesterday and it is ideal as our home for the next two years. Our architect and I, along with another of the school’s governors, will work over the next few weeks on putting designs in place to transform the site into a school fit for FBS. I am visiting again next Wednesday with our IT provider to ensure the first Fulham Boys have access to the very latest learning technologies.
Meanwhile, the teaching staff are busy designing programmes of study and planning lessons for September that will bring out the best in boys. The sports timetable is also looking very exciting and our Head of Sport has already organised fixtures against some of the top London sport schools for the 2014-2015 season.
I will email all parents after the holiday to give more information about the first of our transition days – ‘making every boy a linguist’ – and will let you know about a sports afternoon we have planned and uniform and kit fittings. In the meantime, have a relaxing break.
