Sophie Jones – Science Teacher
Sophie studied Psychology and Criminology at the University of Exeter, before obtaining a PGCE in Psychology and Science from the same university. Whilst at university, she set up a Biological Psychology Peer Mentoring scheme for first year students, and was awarded Mentee’s Choice Peer Mentor of the year and later Peer Programme Organiser of the year for her contributions.
As well as setting up an escape room club, Sophie is keen to draw on her competitive a cappella background and hopes to set up an a cappella choir at The Fulham boys school following her NQT year.
“A school with a cohesive school community where all pupils can thrive is fundamental and has invaluable widespread implications for social and economic spheres beyond education. It is a pleasure to be part of a school with such an aspirational ethos, and one that provides students with such a diverse and comprehensive variety of skills, as well as the knowledge and the desire to continue to develop into well-rounded and multifaceted members of society”
