Sarah Delas - Maths Teacher

After 16 years of working in the City and taking a career break to look after her two young children, Sarah spent four years as a maths tutor for students of various ages and levels including GCSE and A level / International Baccalaureate.  It was the experience of witnessing children grow in confidence with their maths and seeing them flourish that led Sarah to volunteer to do numeracy interventions at her local state secondary school, and ultimately take the decision to train as a maths teacher.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Manchester, and completed her teacher training through St Mary’s University whilst teaching at The Fulham Boys School.

“I was fortunate to have had excellent maths teachers who gave me a love of maths that has stayed with me years after leaving the classroom. I have really enjoyed being part of the Fulham Boys School’s teaching team over the past year, and I look forward to continuing to share my passion for maths with the boys and helping them build other life skills, such as critical thinking, perseverance and problem solving, that come from studying this creative subject.”
