Angharad Davies - History and Politics Teacher

Annie studied History with Economics at Durham University. She then completed the Teach First program in Birmingham, teaching and achieving a distinction in her PGCE in History. After finishing the two year scheme, Annie relocated to Belfast, Northern Ireland and joined the NHS as a Management Trainee, working across three different Health Trusts, including in managing healthcare across the prisons in Northern Ireland. As part of this scheme, she studied for an MSc in Business Improvement.  Most recently, she has led the Southern Health and Social Care Trust COVID19 testing response through coordinating large scale testing and implementing regional strategy.

Her favourite aspect of History is the movements towards minority rights, and really enjoys the revisiting of history. In terms of Politics, Annie enjoys looking at psephology, in particular the collapse of the Red Wall in the 2019 elections.
